Glenn M. Ihde, MD
Dr. Glenn Ihde began his professional education at Creighton University, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry in May of 1988. After receiving his medical doctorate in 1993 and completing his surgical residency in June of 1998, both at the University of Kansas School of Medicine, he went on to work as a general surgeon at Dallas Surgical Group between July 1998 and January 2001. In March of 2001, he completed the Forest Health Services In-house Bariatric training program and continues to specialize in bariatric surgery today.
Dr. Ihde is involved in several professional organizations, including the American Medical Association, the Texas Medical Association, the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons, the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons, and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. He has also been a member of numerous hospital committees and currently serves as both the Director of the Bariatric Program at the Medical Center of Arlington and Director of Surgery at Kindred Hospitals Mansfield. Robert O. Powell, MD
Dr. Robert Powell began his professional education at the University of California Berkeley, where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1968. He received his medical degree in 1972 from Harvard Medical School and completed his general surgical residency in 1977 at Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr. Powell furthered his training when he undertook a thoracic/cardiovascular residency in 1979 at the University of Texas, Southwestern Medical School/Parkland Memorial Hospital. He performed cardiovascular surgery from 1979 until 2002. Aware of the impact of obesity and its detrimental effect on cardiovascular health, Dr. Powell expanded his practice to include bariatrics. He was one of the first surgeons in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area to become trained and perform the LAP-BANDTM surgery. He also specializes in the sleeve gastrectomy as well as general surgery.

Merrill Littleberry, LCSW, CCM, LCDC
Ms. Littleberry has worked with Dr. Ihde since 2005, providing psychological assessments for patients undergoing weight loss surgery. Ms. Littleberry received her Bachelors of Science degree in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1994. She then obtained her Masters of Science in Social Work in 1995. She obtained her Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor licensure in 2001, then her Certified Case Manager licensure in 2002, followed by her Clinical Social Worker Licensure in 2005. She has extensive experience in the bariatric population and also runs her own private practice, TRI-S Counseling & Education which provides both group and individual therapy, continuing education, and clinical supervision. She is a member of the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery and the National Association of Social Workers.
Lisa Badolato, RD, LD
Ms. Badolato has worked with Dr. Ihde since 2003 in both the hospital and private practice setting. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Clinical Dietetics from the University of Texas Southwestern. She is the Director of Clinical Nutrition at the Kindred Hospital Mansfield and runs her own private practice in Arlington, Texas. She specializes in post-surgical nutritional support and obtained her certificate in Adult Weight Management in 2006. She is a member of the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.
Dalton Stewart, R.N., MSN, FACHE
Dalton Stewart, R.N., MSN, FACHE, Practice Administrator brings both clinical and administrative skills to the practice. He has worked with Drs. Ihde and Powell for several years as a hospital administrator and assisted in developing bariatric program and services and has now joined the group full-time to continue to focus on growth and quality improvement. Dalton holds a Master’s degree in the Science of Nursing and is a Board Certified Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. He has formerly held certifications as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner and a Critical Care Registered Nurse.
Stephanie Lindsay, Medical Assistant
Stephanie Lindsay, Medical Assistant has been with the Ihde Surgical Group, P.A. for five years and has served in several different capacities. She is a significant liaison between patients and physicians and can assist you to navigate your way throughout the complete process from first appointment through all phases of follow up. She is soon to complete educational requirements of a Certified Surgical Technician.
Bob Brooks, Patient Liaison
Bob Brooks, Patient Liaison brings a unique perspective to the team. His first encounter with the practice was as a patient seeking bariatric treatment. His commitment to the change in his life style and health resulted in a genuine desire to become part of the treatment team. He coordinates various communications with potential and current patients and is a great asset in assisting in dealing with insurance companies and third party payors. Brandy Besio, Medical and Billing Specialist
received her education as the US Career Institute. She has a broad base of experience in medical coding ranging from pediatrics to orthopedics as well as surgery. Brandy provides invaluable service to bridge actual medical treatment and the billing process to maximize the utilization of patients insurance and financial resources .
